Hi: I live in Lansing, Mich., and had two local window companies out to quote a picture window replacement. The first pitched a triple-pane with Krypton gas. The second told me triple-panes are not worth the investment. There brand (Northstar) is a double-pane with Argon gas.
Also, the first company uses a foam insulator along with a series of chambers in the frame while the Northstar windows just has the series of chambers. Is one better than the other?
