I have a 10 years old Sears/Craftman garage door opener, Model: 139.53315SR – 1/3 HP. The drive gear had been worn out. I purchased a replace kid and put it on. The first time I pressed the door control button, the trolley (door was not engaged) went toward the down direction and stopped when the limit switch reached the limit. So far so good. However when I press the button again the trolley did not go toward the up direction. Instead it kept going the down direction a little bit and stop. When I pressed the button (or the remove) more times, the trolley kept going down direction and the limit switch got bend really bad. I stopped pressing the button when the trolley reached end of the rail at the door. What is wrong and how can I fix it? Thank you very much.
