I have one four foot verticall seam that i previously was NOT going to tile over so i did the seam with dywall tape and mud. i have changed my layout so that now i want to tile about 1.5 inches over this seam. i am using 8x8 tiles, should i remove the drywall tape and mud and replace with tiling tape and thinset or can i leave it?
