It is best to wait @4-6 months before any finish or sealer is applied to preasure treated lumber. this gives the elements time to wash off the excess chemicals in the wood. the best finish i have used on decks for waterproofing is the deck finish-sealer by Behr. It is available at Home Depot and can be had in different tints for different wood appearances. I usually use the pine-fir finish as it is almost clear and transparent so that the wood grain shows. also lasts a long time. when preasure wshing after 5 years, the water still did not penitrate the sealer, but would bead up like on a freshly waxed auto. IMO thompsons is a useless product for wood, fair for use on conctrete, and I have never heard of the Seasonite by Flood
