Well, in our world (Saskatchewan) the farmers and ranchers use a jack-all. You tie a chain around the post to be removed and put the other end of the chain onto this jack-all, and work the handle , and this jacks the posts out of ground. You can probably find this item in a farm or ranch supply store. These items are also used to pull the wire fencing tight, placed under vehicle bumpers to raise them. They(jack-alls) are real killers be careful.

Yeah, I'm for real. This item may have a different name in other places. They do work well
