.......(delete).......you don't want to be breathing any dust at all; plaster, or whatever.

Your lungs can naturally deal with a limited amount of most dusts, but why chance overloading their abilities? Asbestos dust is an exception - it 'catches' in your lungs due to it's structure, but Wear A Dust Mask. You'll be able to thank me in 25 years when you can still breathe.
