The problem with Maytag is if you don't know if their is a recall they won't tell you. I had mold on the rubber & called up about it. They said they would send someone down to fix it. I didn't think it was two weeks until I got it fixed. They set someone down. They tryed putting the rubber on backward. Thsi was in Aug. 2003 So, I had my mother wash my clothing. I had to say I was going to a lawer to get it fixed. They they had to give me a new door too & latch. They replaced the 2 boards. It seems after that problems. No spin ect. They do give a 1 yr. on the boards. But it don't do any good. I ended up buying a new washer no more maytag. My husband sayed it expensive paper weight.
