Questions on Carsiding Application

1) When applying cedar carsiding on a screen porch wall and ceiling, should the 'tongue' or the 'groove' be facing up?
2)How is the carsiding fastened?
3)I want to apply the carsiding at an angle (45 degree). Any recommendations or examples of how it can or should be done?
