I have a question about what size of a water softner that I need. I am being told that I would need a 48,000 grain softner. I believe that is too high and that I should need a 32,000 if not a 40,000 at the largest. I have a four bedroom house with 2 1/2 baths (and a third roughed in). There are currenlty 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids) with the possiblity of one more kid in the near future. The water is pretty hard...There should be some sort of formula to figure this out....Please Help. Thanks Bart!
