In St. Louis you can apply for a permit to put the dumpster in the street in front of your house. The police dept puts up no parking signs to boot. This is a necessity because most older houses don't have driveways, still it's worth it to see if it can be done in your town, it's much better to scrape up the street vs your driveway or yard.
