If it a laminate top its easy enough to scribe and cut the top, or use a belt sander with coarse belt, no chipping. If its a polycast fake marble stuff you can scribe and cut the wallboard to let tha vanity top slide into the wall a bit. the only place the cut if critical for appearance if the front edge, the rest is hid behind the backsplash and vanity. The caulk to the wall.
