It's a very good valve. There are better that don't need special tools to work on. Like the Clack WS-1 and Fleck 7000 that have soft water brine refill and the 7000 has variable brining and variable reserve. And you don't have to worry about the electronics with either brand of control, they are well proven. Both controls are full ported 1" and the 7000 goes to 1.25" while the 5600/6600/6700 are 3/4" with very good flow rates.
