basement remodel with new full bath

Posted by cheri on May 8th, 2004 08:39 AM

I am in the process of buying a home with a finished basement. There is also an unfinished room where the pipes are showing through the unfinished ceiling. The furnace and hotwater heater are also in there. I need to finish this room into a bedroom and full bath. My problem is the sewer/waste drain(?) is in the ceiling. I have been told that there is a way to do it, an "upflush" toilet can be purchased. Can someone tell me more about this, and will my costs be higher for this job? Has anyone ever done this? Thanks so much!
