I have the same problem. A very nice picnic table and 6 chairs purchased from Costco. High winds lifted out the glass top and sent it sailing. I'm sure as other have indicated that fabricating one at a local glass store will probably cost more than the entire set. Manufacturers should warm people of the breakage possibility. I've consider replacing the top with something like wood/tile, however, the table frame is made of very lightweight aluminum and I don't think it can support much weight.
