Been a while since I installed 3/4 inch hardwood flooring and was wondering if just regular roofing paper(black tar)was still a good product to use as underlayment or is there some new and improved product on the market these days? Thanks. FYI - don't know if it makes a difference but the floor will be going down in a kitchen.
