I have worked for a glass shop for 22 plus years installing windows. In my opinion, Andersen windows are well worth the money and are very reliable windows. Andersen windows, along with a good dealer, seem to take care of problems that do pop up now and then. Older Andersen window parts or updates are available also. I worked on a 60 year old Andersen wood window that had been vandalized. With some updates, you have to look hard to see the difference. Many vinyl window companies seem to change their extrusions,so they discontinue the product. Good luck finding replacement frames. I believe in Andersen windows enough that I have replaced all my opening window with casements or awnings.
