I am having a house built in Florida and an upgrade is putting in batts of R30 insulation at a cost of $1800 vs no additional cost for blown in. How long will blown in insulation in the attic last before I have to replace it? I'm told that it settles and I will need to replace it in 6 years.

Thank you
Dave
