I would never use a plastic box for anything moving. They are not recommended because chances are you will have the fan fall on your head. Fans are going to move, even when istalled propery, they are going to move some and chances are any plastic box will eventually give and fall. Get a metal box rated for ceiling fans. Why take chances?
