Yes , I get my own cart Posted by A Knowledgable Consumer on May 11th, 2004 04:03 PM In reply to gimmee a break by Steve M on May 11th, 2004 02:47 PM [Go to top of thread]
I absolutely do grab a cart on the way into the grocery store from the parking lot. That is common sense, especially if the place is busy. I would rather have to have to get my own cart than have prices jacked up because of hiring more people than needed to run the store. Go in the store sometime besides Saturday afternoon, there is plenty of help. Simple fact of life, sometimes you have to stand in line and do not always get things your way. In regards to: "Its not the fault of the people but rather the store for not hiring enough."; I can only say: .....DELETED....... As far as ACE goes, the small hardware stores do not suffer greatly at the hands of a big home improvement store. Most follow the franchisor guidelines and adapt very well, expanding product lines and services. Often increasing business. Ask Sears, they just expanded into an ACE/True Value concept. They have already learned to target communities with large home improvement stores cause the communities without the large home improvement stores cannot keep customers at home. Its similar to how the best revenue generating hamburger joints have a McDonalds, Burger King, Jack in the Box, and Wendy's all on opposite corners from each other. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
