I read other people's posts about replacing the flapper valve if it's old and gets stuck when the toilet is flushed...my problem has come since I replaced the tank insides. I replaced everything in the tank except for the overflow pipe but now when we flusk the flapper valve stays open at least 50% of the times we flush. I tried shortening the chain and now it's shortened as much as possible without the valve staying open. I also tried cleaning the "ears" on the overflow pipe since I reused it.
HELP! What else can I try?
