Why cannot Maytag simply admit they have a problem and either replace the bad machines or at least come for service. If you tell them you have a smelly machine they tell you that is the way it is and they can do nothing. I thought I had the only bad machine until I saw the WCBS "Shame on You" report. Maytag personnel told the WCBS reporter that they do not know of customer dissatifaction. I have fixed the circuit board myself twice. (or pay in excess of $400.00 for a non Maytag repairman) The odor problem was solved by me by running the machine empty full cycle between each wash with a pint of bleach using hot water. I have spent approx $140.00 on bleach since 1999. and have not saved any water. (I seldom use bleach with a wash)
