if the carpet is installed correctly, there should be no visable seam. sounds like your "installer" is an amatur and rotated one piece 180 degrees, causing the pile ot lay in opposite directions. I would demand new carpet be installed at the installer/sellers expense. they are responsible for the problem. is you paid by credit card, protest thru the credit card folks for unacceptable merchandise/service.
