The only way to "balance" the washer is to adjust the legs on the bottom of the chasis (caninet). The legs screw in and out to make the machine level on an uneven surface. The flooring must be slightly uneven (it doesn't take much) causing the washer to tip back and forth and "walk". Try tipping the empty washer from each corner to the opposite corner. If it moves at all the washer is not on level flooring.

If the washer has been sitting in the same spot for a long time the floor may have settled causing the the unbalance problem.

find the corner that goes down slightly when you push on it, this the the leg that needs to be screwed out to level the machine.

It may take sveral attempts and adjustments to get it level.
