I use an old Hitachi 83NR that still works fine so I haven't been in the market for a new one. I like the sequential trip, but they can be dangerous. Makes framing and sheathing a lot faster.
For a finish nailer, I did some research on that recently and selected a Porter Cable 16 ga. Very happy with that. Nicely made, reliable, never overdrives the nail, comfortable grip.
I thought the 15 ga models were heavier than I needed, and they were certainly more expensive. The PC is a square on drive and that has not been a problem; works fine for molding. I concluded that the 18 ga models were more of a hobby tool.
