When we built our house, I treated myself to a brand new Neptune front-loading $1,000 washing machine. It is just over 5 years old. Over time, I noticed it smelled and had a mold & mildew problem that I have been unable to remedy. Less than a year ago, I spent $300 in repairs. Today, my repairman informed me it looks like another $300 to get it up and running. He hates these machines and told me chances are high he'll be back in a year to repair what he did last year. I cannot afford $300 annual maintenance on this machine. We have decided to buy a top loader, cheaper machine, which will actually smell good and clean the clothes. What a hunk of junk!!! $1,000 down the toilet!!
