I recently sanded the scratches out of a mahoghney door. I used pre-Stain wood conditioner to prevent excess absorbtion of stain and the wood turned red. Now the stain I put on is reddish tint, even when I use a golden colar stain. WHATS WRONG??? I did sand all the finishes off and was on raw wood when this was done.
