The doorways and doors of our new house have old paint on them, some areas are flat paint and others semi glossy. Is it okay to paint a semi gloss paint over that or do I need to strip off the old paint first. Also does anyone know if it's better to place tiles over cement or boards? I've heard cement is better because it won't break.
