100 sq feet of roofing is 3 bundles of standard shingles, called a square. you will need to buy extra shingles for applying the starter cours and cutting for the edges of the roof to get the stagger pattern normally used. also you need additional shingles for the ridge. normally figure 10 % over the value given by the measurements to have enough material for the entire roof. and full bundles can normally be returned where they were purchased.
