pool deck and coping

have just finished retiling a cement pool and have noticed that some of the stone making up the coping is loose. Just wondering if I can pour concrete into the 1/4 inch space between the coping and the concrete deck surrounding the pool? My fear is that the concrete deck might contract and expand in the winter/summer periods and then my coping will move and crack?? Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
