We're just finishing up our kitchen remodel...we started back in late February! Luckily we had a dining room that we were able to convert into a temporary and effective kitchen. Just beware, if you're like me even the simplest project becomes monumental. We were just going for new cabinets, counter and appliances with a budget of about $18k. Well one thing led to another and suffice it to say the room was completely gutted and we've now spent closer to $30k! Fortunately, I've done all the work myself and was able to save thousands on labor. As for installing cabinets, it's not really rocket science but you do need to be meticulous and precise especially with the base units or your counter will not sit properly. There are tons of places to get good reliable help(internet, library, your local home improvement store). Good luck and don't be afraid to ask or try!
