Upkeep on the floor your describing would consist of: 1) Dustmop the floor and spot mop it daily. Be careful not to use too much detergent when mopping, it will leave a film and dull the floor. Use a neutral floor cleaner. 2)Burnish the floor once or twice per week,but make sure it is clean before burnishing. Providing the floor is kept clean and frequently burnished your in good shape. I would reccomend a minumum of 4 coats of floor finish be applied after stripping. Stripping the floor can be prolonged by following the above maintenace and scrubbing and recoating quarterly. This is basically the same process as srripping, but instead of using a stripper and black pad, use a neutral cleaner and green pad. This process is much quicker and only removes the top coat of finish. Thus, you have a higher gloss, far less labor and you only need to apply 2 addional coats of finish.
