plumbing nightmare (probably soon)

Posted by monmarabs on May 24th, 2004 11:54 AM

Some of you may remember me posting a plumbing question about two months ago about a jack-hammering sound in my master bath when the shower is activated and the fact that I had reduced pressure at my maser sink. Well,I think we have sprung a leak. Somewhere between hall bath and master bath...I hear dripping (not all the time, but none the less, I hear it). I have an additional policy on the house (because of the age and situations just as this) but they say they won't cover anything that means tearing out walls and leaks where they don't have access. Does anyone know what the problem might be. It seems to drip when I run the hall faucet without the shower head. If we run the shower, and then leave it open to drain into the tub, it doesn't seem to do this. I have a feeling the leak is around the hall tub shower head and that maybe my issue in the master bath is seperate. I can see the moisture at the bottom of the wall in the hallway, but there isn't anyting coming from the plumbing around the faucets (at the connections), which leads me to believe it is leaking at shower or between the bathrooms.
