SPlit condenser and evaporating coil

Posted by Ganesh Kalan on May 25th, 2004 10:31 AM

I am replacing my existing split condenser and coil GOODMAN units for my 1000 square feet condo in NJ.

I got a quote of $1900 (installation and equipment) for a 10 seer 2 ton BRYANT.
Is that a good price ?

On the internet I see a 12 seer 2 ton Goodman condenser for $630.38, and the evaporating coil for $191.25 + free shipping.
Should I consider the online offer ?
Is BRYANT better than Goodman.

How much should a repair person charge for removing the old unit and installing the new unit (condenser and evaporating coil) ?
