In west Michigan we have almost 8 inches of rain in the first 20 days of May. Our new house, which sits on a high water table already, has a small crack in the basement. The crack extends from the wall near the shower drain twisting and turning and ends near the weight bearing wall. I was told that all cement cracks. In fact this crack is so small it looks like a piece of hair on the floor. The problem is, with all of this rain I have noticed water spots forming along this crack.
Is the a Sealant I can put on the floor? I am fininshing the basement and would hate to put flooring down that I am just going to have to tear out!
Thanks for any help
