I'm pretty sure it isn't rodents. We live in a residental neighborhood, very modern, not wooded area. And have had pest control in. I can push on a wall inside the house and re-create the noise. So it sounds like the wals are heaving or moving. In our old house we once heard nails in the walls popping but that was when it was 30 below zero. It is now in the 60's and 80's so that can't be it. I'm still perplexed. Can walls heave in and out like this and cause the siding or the wood to make this noise?
