Thank you for the correction - 'water logged' would mean too much water - believe it or not I am not blonde nor have I ever been.

Looked at tank - there isn't any faucet on it like the water heater. Although there is a lead off with a valve that goes to a water conditioner that we do not use. If I disconnect that, I should be able to get water out, right????? Then, how do I know how much water to let out? How do I prevent this from happening again?

My pump shows about 37 psi - is that good? Basically I guess I'm asking how to get the water out. It should work the way I suggested logically but this house has nothing that works logically in it. I think that Murphy may have built it...:)
