Hi Al, looks like a good reason to tell the S.O that you HAVE to buy that new milwakee sawzall that you have been wanting :<). i think a 12 tooth or 18 tooth 8 inch metal blade in the saw would do the trick. you should do minimal damage to the flooring with that approach, and u can later remove the nails prior to reuse of the flooring.
