We moved into a patio-home with a patio that looked like a jungle. Trees and shrubs have been trimmed down. Two gigantic shrubs we want to remove completely because they are breaking into the brick wall surrounding patio.
One of the two was removed, root, and all.
Problem: The second root is so huge, it will not budge. We've tried an ax, a chainsaw, digging. Nothing works. What does smoking it out mean? Is that ever done or recommended?
Is there anything a professional would do that could be done by my husband?
