My driveway declines towards my house and I have a drain in front of my garage door. If it rains very hard the drain can not keep up with the rain. I also have a retaining walls next to the driveway up to the house and with the the hard rain it will wash mud, yard materials, and small pine cones into the driveway down to my drain and slow the drain process tremendously to where it will quit draining, send water underneath my garage door and into the garage and will also back up the drain in my house to where water will start coming out of the drain in my downstairs shower. The mud comes over the retaining walls. The outside drain has 3 steel plates over it with plenty of holes in it for the water to drain through and help keep all the extra materials from getting into the drain and clogging it. The drain pipe is 3" in diameter. What can I do to fix these problems? Do be honest it will have to be a low budget and mostly a do-it-youselfer project.
