Humming Pipes

Posted by Eileen on May 31st, 2004 06:54 AM

Most times, but not always, when cold water is used (a toilet is flushed or shower runs) there is a humming in the walls until the toilet has filled and cuts off, or until the cold water in the shower is turned off. Then the humming stops. This only started a few months ago. My plumber has been here twice and of course it did not do it when he was here. What could this be? And how can it be corrected?
