My house is on a concrete slab. I need to relocate my washer and dryer to a spot where no drain pipe exists in the concrete floor. This spot does have access in the wall to and from the attic for piping and wiring. Can I run a drain pipe or hose from the washer up through the attic to a distant drain location? Obviously I'm talking about a hose or pipe that is tightly clamped to the washer's drain port. What I don't know is whether the washer's drain pump has enough power to pump the water 6 to 8 feet vertically. Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated.
