We are contemplating laying laminate in 3 rooms and a T shaped hallway. The entry room is 16 ft. wide and 32 ft. long with an adjacent Kitchen (10 wide and 15 long) as well as a T hall leading to bedrooms and bath. Also, off the great room is a master br. We are not sure if we should lay the planks parrellel with the front door or perpendicular, stretching from the entry door to the french doors in back. Complicating the situation is the 32 wide hall and angles by the bedroom. What is the rule of thumb or does it matter whether we go left to right when entering or up and down? Your opinion, please.
