I recently bought a house with the w/h in a closet of the house. I bought a new w/h (50 gal) to replace it but I want to put it in the attic. My wife is opposed to this because of weight and w/h problems (leakage). I want to have the closet space for what it was intended for. Wife wants the new w/h put back where old one sits now. Garage is not an option. We live in a small house in south Texas. The house was well build in 1985.
QUESTION: If distributed correctly, can the attic handle the weight of w/h? Also is this a safe and feasible option?
