I've got a GE side-by-side. Ice maker quit working. Was not controlling the water inlet valve. It's 9 years old, I decided to just replace it. The new ice maker doesn't work either! I would suspect the valve, but I poured water into the cube trays and the ice never "dumped". I know the thing has power, there's a green LED on the side panel.
