A previous homeowner covered my wood frame home with aluminum siding. I really want to remove it so I can restore the house to its original look. (I lived in it as a child in the 50's.) What advice can you give me? What can I expect the siding underneath to look like, and how much work and money is it likely to take to restore it? I live in South Carolina where both heat and humidity are often very high during the summer months. I consider myself a do-it-yourselfer. Is this a do-it-yourself project?
