staining

I have a problem with a few doors I stained. The doors are made of pine. I pre treated them first by lightly sanding then by using wood conditioner.I let them sit for about 6 days before I applyed the stain. While staining they looked fine a few minutes later they looked like they were never conditioned. The soft part of the doors absorbed the stain so bad. The doors are all blochie. I mixed the conditioned throughly. Does any one have advice, besides throw the doors out and start over.
