rebar or not

If it is your dime, and it makes you feel better, insist on it! Otherwise, let me tell you an observation I made one day walking our streets. We have had our streets repoured and guess what? No rebars were put in the new streets and no rebars were originally used. I guess concrete is better formulated today to not need the rebar, which the industries involved probably pushed for at one time or another to save labor and cost.
Well, at any rate, you asked for a little help and that is what you recieved.
