It's hard to guess what your mysterious leaking toilet cause is, however . . . a few ideas.
It could be the floor is not level or the flange is not level, so when you install everything and you as a light weight use it ecerything is fine. However, when one of us heavyweights uses it it settles to the lowest point under compression. When we leave the toilet comes back and creates a small gap - the leak! You might try an extended length wax ring and be sure it is well seated. Put your weight and your friends weight and even a neighbor if necessary.
Other than that, I would call the plumber who installed the flange and talk with him about what is happening.
