We are having a new house built and for cost savings the builder is using OSB sub-floors. We can upgrade to plywood for a cost of $1600. We will be laying a combination of carpet, ceramic tile, and laminate flooring overtop the sub-floor. My question is, is it worth the extra cost for the plywood subfloor or will the OSB do just fine?
