I have just puchased cedar siding to cover the outside of the house. My house is a brick (masonry) house. My question is, should I just put furring strips (how thick) up with Tyvek in between the strips, or should I completely cover the masonry with CDX or plywood??? Also what type of water sealer should I use. I want a natural look, but maximun protection to the wood..
